Heavy loads can cause the back of your vehicle to sag and add unnecessary stress to your suspension. This can affect your braking, handling, headlight aim, and even the wear on your tires. To improve your vehicle's ability to endure heavy loads, you need to add support to your existing coil springs.
Air Lift's 1000 Universal Air Springs fit inside your rear coil springs and have 1,000 pounds of load-leveling capacity. You can inflate and deflate these tough polyurethane helper springs as needed, ensuring the perfect amount of support for every load. It comes with manual inflation valves that are typically mounted on the bumper but can be installed anywhere on your vehicle for easy access. For even more convenience and control, you can add a compressor (sold separately), which will let you monitor and inflate your air springs.
If there isn't a specific Air Lift 1000 Air Spring kit for your vehicle, you can use a universal kit to get the support you need. However, you'll have to take a couple measurements on your rear coil springs to ensure you get the right fit. Also, this kit will not fit vehicles with coil-over shocks or coil springs with internal jounce bumpers.
First, unload your vehicle to make sure it's at normal ride height. Then, measure the inside height of your coil spring, which will be from the upper spring seat to the lower spring seat. Lastly, measure the inside diameter of the spring at its widest point. Once you have these measurements, use the table below to find the correct kit by matching up your diameter and height values. Since the air spring cylinder will inflate, it's okay if the cylinder is slightly undersized compared to the size of the coil spring. The spring pitch will also indicate the total air pressure the bag should hold. This measurement is the distance between the coils. The bag can hold 50 psi if it is less than 1" and 35 psi if it is greater than 1". Additionally, some kits include spacers to make up for any height differences.

Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com, and today we're gonna take a look at these Air Lift 1000 universal air helper springs. Now, as you probably know, hauling and towing heavy loads can cause the back of your vehicle to sag and add unnecessary stress to your suspension. This stress not only affects your brakes in a bad way, but your tires and headlight aim and handling. Your handling suffers, as well. So, to improve your vehicle's ability to endure heavy loads, you need to add support to your existing coil springs.
These springs are made here in the USA of a durable polyurethane and they install inside of your vehicle's rear coil spring suspension. They are going to provide 1000 pounds of load leveling support to improve safety and ride quality on your vehicle, and they will support your existing rear coil spring suspension when you're hauling or towing heavier loads. It's gonna keep it level, and they will improve steering and braking performance and help maintain your head lighting. And they will even reduce tire wear and suspension strain. Now, these are going to diminish sway and absorb road shock and improve stability and your ride quality.
The air pressure in these springs are adjustable for greater than one inch spring pitch from five PSI to 35 PSI and less than one inch spring pitch from five PSI to 50 PSI. And you can manually adjust the air pressure to get even load distribution and support that you need. And with the installation of dual air lines, you can inflate each spring independently for side to side leveling of any off center loads. The manual inflation valves are typically mounted on your bumper, so they will be easy to reach for you and for even more convenience and control, you can even add a compressor and a gauge system which are sold separately, and that's gonna let you monitor and automatically inflate your air springs. Now, this kit includes everything that you see here on the table before me. You're gonna get your two air springs. You're gonna get four spacers. You're gonna get air line, two Schrader valves and also some heat shields and all the hardware that you're going to need to install this, along with instructions to walk you through the installation process. Now again, the load leveling capacity is up to 1000 pounds.
However, I do wanna note that these springs will not increase your vehicle's weight carrying capacity. So, you wanna make sure that you do not exceed the manufacturer's recommended weight limit. This air spring kit leveled our RAV4 just the right amount. We towed a LivinLite 8.1 all over the western US with no issues. The install takes a bit of effort (and do be sure to measure carefully if using a universal fit), but once in it was easy to set the pressure and I had no troubles with leaking. I ran the air valve to the side of the hitch to keep it out of the way.
I want to thank you very much for the help on fitting the correct air lift bag for my mopar lifted wrangler. I spent countless hours searching the web unsuccessfully for the information you provided. The new listing you added on your site for fitment of these air bags will undoubtedly help many customers the same as it helped me. etrailer has been my go to site for many of the items needed for an offroad teardrop camper build I'm working on that is towed by the wrangler, and again you guys came through for me. its been a year of using the lift kit on the Jeep Wrangler Rubi (4door). no issues. did replace the clips with tighter fitting clips.
not much else to say. works as advertised.

The airlift system works very well. I installed a leveling kit on my truck. Even with a small load in the bed of my truck, the truck showed sag. With the airbags, I can inflate to the desired height before I load the bed and it doesn't appear to squat!
Works great , I put a Bluetooth compressor with it.
What a great product, I use one of these kits,I don’t know 10 years ago and thought I would come back to the company because they provided such a good quality 10 years ago and again it never fails. Put them in my grand Cherokee yesterday. And they are working perfectly today. Great product perfect. They sent extra stuff with it that I didn’t even need which is always a nice touch.
